xinha + ie6 = syn-flood

Description

When loading xinha from a public webserver in IE6 (XP SP2), my ADSL router blocks access to all ports on that server for a few minutes. The editor loads just half.

This is the message from the security log from my ADSL router (SMC). 10/14/2006 08:54:37 **SYN Flood to Host** 192.168.2.103, 4256->> 217.148.95.154, 80 (from ATM1 Outbound)

this behavior is even there when viewing the demo on the xinha website(!).

I've seen this from 3 different locations now, all XP SP2 with different ADSL routers and connection providers.

I believe this is a bug.

Thanks in advance, i hope i can continue using Xinha... Contact: kees d0t kodde at qrios d0t nl

There is no way we can possibly cause a SYN flood, that would require doing low level TCP/IP stuff, which Javascript simply doesn't have the ability to do.

It's therefore a browser bug, or a too sensitive firewall, that we can't do anything about.

Nobody else has reported similar.
