New formatting lost

Description

After saving the html from Xinha and upon reloading it in the editor the new formatting gets lost upon usual form submission. However, if I change the formatting and then switch between design and code view once, it manages to retain the formatting and the additional data. This probably because the underlying textarea isn't updated.
