ListType plugin using panel mode + a lot of content = scrollbar weirdness in IE6

Reported by: blakeb@… Owned by: gogo
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: Plugin_ListType Version:
Severity: normal Keywords:

Using IE6 (in Win 2000/XP)

This can be replicated using the online example

Load the editor using ListType? plugin with mode: panel (it does not occur using toolbar mode)

Then add enough content for the scrollbar to appear and then try moving the text insertion cursor around using the mouse and arrow keys. As you go down further the view jumps up to the top (or near the top) losing view of where the text cursor is.

  • Component changed from Plugin_ListType to Xinha Core
  • Severity changed from normal to major

I can verify the scrollbar bug in ie6. alrough I do not use the ListType? plugin. It gets even weirder if you switch to fullscreen mode. then ie starts popping up its own scrollbar and letting it vanish, making it unable to use. It looks as if there is some timer messing up ie. This also happens when switching to source view!

I think this is a core problem and not a plugin one so I change the component. Also setting to major since this bug makes the editor unusable in ie. I am currently investigating in this maybe I find out how to fix it :)

Ok i take it back: the scrollbar weirdness seems to be fixed with the current build. but xinha is really unstable in ie prior to xp-sp2.

I'm having this issue with the list-type plugin installed and it is making IE6 unusable, using the build downloaded on 8 Dec.

I am not using ListType? and I am experiencing this problem also. I have the latest htmlarea.js is there another file I need to update. Your problem seemed to be solved by installing the latest build. How can i verify if i have the latest build?
