#294 closed defect (wontfix)

IE's "Operation aborted" on html pages with BASE address defined

Reported by: houdik@… Owned by: gogo
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: Xinha Core Version:
Severity: normal Keywords:

Xinha fails to work with Internet Explorer (various versions) in html documents containing a BASE element. The bug was already present in HTMLArea 3 (see '[BUG RC3] "Operation aborted"' thread in HTMLArea discussion forum).

I have made two examples for reference:

  1. (without BASE element, works fine)
  2. (containing BASE element <base href="">, fails).

Thanks a lot for your work!

It appears to be due to a bug in IE. adding a </base> tag after the <base ...> tag appears to clear the issue.

  • Resolution set to wontfix
  • Status changed from new to closed

Closing, closing yuour base is a viable workaround for a browser problem.
