panel alignment problems

Reported by: anonymous Owned by: gogo

Description

There seems to be a variety of alignment issues with firefox, the stylist plugin, resizing the browser and using the full screen plug in.

Screen shots of the following observations appear below:

  1. When going to full screen an area at the bottom of the stylist panel remains unpainted until the text in the editor is clicked on / has focus
  1. If the browser is resized and you return from full screen mode, the stylist panel's position remains unchanged from its original position and does align itself flush against the right border of the editor
  1. If the browser is resized in full screen mode the stylist panel remains flush against the right hand side of the editor but the toolbar and status bars do not resize.
  1. There appears to be a gap between the right hand side of the editor and the stylist panel, the larger the width of the editor the larger this gap is.

I haven't tested these with MSIE.

  • Milestone set to Version 1.0
  • Version set to trunk

Can you check this against the latest nightly, changeset:166 or better as I think this should be corrected in changeset:166

Please let me know

I've downloaded the nightly and it appears to be LastChangedRevision?: 167

Looks great with some new plugins - great work :)

Some problems

  • Firefox 1.04 seems fine with the panel positioning, However MSIE6 presents the stylist pane as about 50% of the editor width when the editor is resized wide.
  • toolbar groups repositioning in a strange way in Firefox when the browser width was resized, this did not occur in MSIE
  • The stylist would not appear until I clicked on the content in the editor. Is there a way to force focus onto the editor content so it appears ready to use?

167_ff_toolbar_group_positioning.gif was a stylesheet problem!
The selected button has a border and it's toolbar gets higher as result the following toolbar can't float!
Fixed but can come back on skin.css changes, if button, buttonHover, buttonActive and buttonPressed as result of padding, height and border has different size!

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

The problem with the panel size has been fixed in changeset:266 (that's a coincidence (with this ticket number)), unfortunatly this means that panel dimensions are now limited to being specified as absolute pixel widths.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
