How to get a background image into the <BODY> tag?

Description

Hello, I just downloaded the latest version of xinha and am using the HTMLArea full page plug-in. I am going to the code view and attempting to insert

<body background="http://mydomain.com/myimage.gif">

but when I revert back to the normal view, and then back to the code view, this text disappears. I have also tried using a style tag and that is getting deleted. Any ideas or work-arounds on how I can get a background image on my page?

THanks, - Dave A.

Hmm, I'm not familiar with the fullpage plugin, but have you tried defining the background in a CSS block, eg switch to text-mode and enter between the <head> ... </head> tags

  <style type="text/css"> body {background-image:url("http://mydomain.com/myimage.gif") </style>

it appears to work for me (in firefox), it may be that fullpage doesn't recognize the background attribute of body or something.

Changing priority to low.

Body attributes began dissapearing from HTML files in full page config Xinha in firefox with changeset 177.

However, in firefox body attributes were still retained if the full page plugin was used. After changeset 248, the plugin no longer preserved the body attributes.

Changeset 177 broke body attributes in Xinha in firefox with htmlarea.js configured for full page. The full page plugin when used made attributes stay.

Changeset 248 broke the full page plugin in firefox by stopping it also from preserving body attributes.

This means that if background colors or images or other attributes are present in the body tag when Xinha is used in firefox, Xinha now strips the body tag down to <body>, corrupting content Xinha (and formerly HTMLArea3) was fully able to edit until changesets 177 and 248.
